26 July 2023

The Hellenic Club of Canberra is thrilled to announce that its three development applications (DAs) for the highly anticipated Hellenic Precinct have been approved by the Environment, Planning and sustainable Development Directorate, paving the way for an exciting and transformative future in the heart of Woden Town Centre.

As a cherished Canberra institution with over 40 years of rich history, the Hellenic Club has played an integral role in building a strong sense of community and inclusion. Evolving from its modest beginnings to serve the ACT Greek community, the Club now boasts over 50,000 members and a proud reputation for offering high-quality facilities and services that cater to the diverse needs of all Canberrans.

“The Hellenic Precinct is a visionary blueprint that reflects our Club’s commitment to a vibrant and diversified future while preserving our roots in the Woden Town Centre.” Said Mr. Andrew Satsias, Hellenic Club Board President.

The Hellenic Club Board and management have taken an ambitious step by commissioning a new master plan that embraces a one-of-a-kind mixed-use proposition, aiming to establish a groundbreaking benchmark for urban development in the area.

The development will be constructed in three stages. Stage one consists of a multi-level basement carpark which is likely to commence construction in early 2024.
